Rotary International Theme 2025–2026

Svetlana Zhukova
District 2223 Governor, 2025–2026
Dear friends! In the new year, ambitious goals and new horizons await us. Our greatest wealth is our team — our Rotarians, each proving daily that good overcomes evil, and solidarity overcomes any obstacles.
Together we are stronger, together we can change the world for the better! The Rotary theme this year is "Unite for Good"!

Francesco Arezzo
Rotary International President, 2025–2026
We begin this year with a clear message: Unite for Good. A simple but powerful phrase. Behind every Rotary endeavor, every act of service, are friendship and trust.
Let us remember our key priorities: membership, polio, and peace. We are closer than ever to eradicating polio. We cannot stop now.
Let us unite for good — for our clubs, our communities, and our world!
Member Stories
One Meeting Changed My Life
Every Rotarian came with different goals. But stayed — because they found something greater than expected.
"I thought I was going to a business dinner. Instead I found family — and together we built a library in an orphanage."

"Rotary opened doors I could never open alone. Through the club I found business partners and friends for life."
"I am a doctor. Through Rotary we delivered 2M rubles of equipment to our hospital. It saved lives — not abstractly, but concretely."
"The RYLA scholarship changed my mindset. I came back a different person and launched a volunteer project in my city."
"We built a children's playground in one day. Forty Rotarians, forty pairs of hands — and the courtyard changed forever."

We helped. Here is what it looked like.
Real stories of real people — without embellishment. This is why Rotary exists.

Misha was born with cerebral palsy. Doctors said he would never walk independently. The Rotary Club of Tula bought rehabilitation equipment and funded physiotherapy. This year Misha started first grade — on his own.

Anya grew up in an orphanage. At 14 she joined the "Ladder to the Future" program — Rotarians became her mentors, helped her choose a career and enter college. Now she studies programming and dreams of creating her own app.

Their son Artyom had a rare disease. The hospice, built with the Rotary Club Moscow-East, became a place where the family received not only medical help but psychological support. "We were not alone," says his mother.

His village was in a risk zone. Thanks to the End Polio Now campaign and Dagestan Rotarians, 400 children in the area were vaccinated. The polio that could have taken away Rafael's ability to walk forever never came.

In December 2024, tankers spilled oil near the Kerch Strait. Rotary Club Krasnodar set up a field base in Anapa within 48 hours — field kitchen, protective equipment stations, coordinating hundreds of bird rescue volunteers. Thousands of birds were saved.

Rotary Club Krasnoyarsk donated musical instruments to a children's arts school in a remote district. For 60 children from low-income families, the world of classical music opened up. A year later, their ensemble performed at a city festival.

Nikolai lost his sight in an accident. Rotary Club Kazan helped him receive specialised equipment — a talking player, Braille display and voice-controlled phone. "I read again. I work again," he says.

After major wildfires, Togliatti's forest needed restoration. Rotary Club Togliatti Mercury organised an event: 300 schoolchildren together with Rotarians planted 5,000 pine trees. The children became true forest guardians — they return to check their trees.
We Are Close to Ending Polio
Since 1988, Rotary has led one of the most successful humanitarian campaigns in history. The finish line is near.
